Mr. Lon L. Rains

As editor of Space News and vice president, editorial, trade publishing, Imaginova Corp., Mr. Rains is responsible for all the news and editorial coverage in the weekly newspaper, the spacenews.com Web site, and the Washington Aerospace Briefing newsletter. He joined Space News in 1989 as the advanced technology and Soviet Space Program reporter before being promoted to senior editor. He has written for The Washington Post, The Baltimore Evening Sun, and Discover magazine. Rains earned a Bachelor’s Degree in government and politics from the University of Maryland.
